• Doula For The People Integrative Abortion Doula Training Application

    Doula For The People is a 501c3 Nonprofit working to improve perinatal health and wellness by widening access to holistic doula support. We are committed to connecting birthing people with integrative doula support and holistic reproductive wellness resources that are culturally relevant and focus on traditional perinatal practices, nature-based wellness modalities, and evidence-based research. We center culturally diverse and BIPOC birthing experiences in the training that we facilitate, and the educational content that we create. We believe that when you center the liberation of those who are most negatively affected by systemic oppression, society as a whole benefits.

  • Abortion Doula Training Details:

    This training will work to prepare experienced birthworkers and doulas, to support those navigating abortion before, during, and after a pregnancy release. The DFTP Integrative Abortion Doula Training is a 40hr training spread out over the course of 4 weeks. Training days are a mix of both virtual and in-person sessions. Training days fall on:

    6/27/26 - Zoom - 10am-1:30pm

    6/28/26 - In-person - 10am-6:00pm

    7/12/25 - In-person - 10am-6:00pm

    7/18/26 - Zoom - 10am-1:00pm

    7/19/26 - In-person - 10am-6:00pm

    7/25/25 - Zoom - 10am-1:00pm

    7/26/25 - In-person - 10am-6:00pm

      

    Participants must attend all sessions to receive a certificate of completion. 1 virtual session and 1 in-person session will be excused in extenuating circumstances.

     

    In-person training sessions will take place on the Gill Tract Community Farm in Albany CA. 7 scholorship spots are offered to DFTP Collective Members, and 13 sliding scale training spots are open to the public. Spots that are open to the public are offered on a sliding scale of $350-$1000 (We've calculated that the true cost of this training equals $1700 per person). Please pay what you can. Applications are due on 06/1/26 by 12pm. Invitations to register will be disbursed on 06/2/26.
